About the role
We are looking for a Procurement Lead to manage the MRO and capital categories from both a strategic, operational requirements and commercial perspective with the aim being to ensure continuity of supply, cost management, on time, budget and quality Capex projects. Look to maintain robust capital sourcing and contracting processes ensuring clear technical specifications, sound project delivery objectives and appropriate assignment of risks. The role will provide market insights around new technologies, innovation and processes relevant to the dairy and food processing industries. As a key member of the Group Procurement team, the role will contribute to the development of leading procurement practices, working collaboratively with other members of the Procurement team and the engineering team to deliver business strategy, goals and outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the sourcing plan for MRO in accordance with approved strategies, taking account of cost, quality, and risk factors
Manage and control competitive sourcing processes, including RFIs, RFPs and targeted negotiations
Hold quarterly reviews to conduct supplier evaluation with major suppliers including cross functional stakeholders.
Work collaboratively to deliver Bega’s value creation objectives and ensure adherence to Bega’s ethical sourcing, sustainability and governance objectives
Support project managers and engineers to execute scope of works / contracts which deliver robust capital project procurement plans aligned to the project schedule, outcomes and budget
About you
Experience in Capex and MRO procurement
Experience working collaboratively with the site-based maintenance teams to support continuous improvement including the adoption of new Source to Pay processes/systems and the management of spare parts including the use of MEX
Experience working collaboratively with the central engineering team to ensure Scope of Works / contracts clearly define deliverables, outcomes, and the apportionment of risk and liability
Leading Change: Identifying and driving changes needed to improve the use of preferred suppliers to leverage Bega’s buying power.
