Our client, a leading player in the logistics industry, is embarking on a transformative journey to elevate its procurement practices. As a Strategic Procurement Transformation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading this initiative, driving process improvements and ensuring best-in-class procurement strategies across multiple functional areas, geographies, and business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement a Comprehensive Source-to-Pay Strategy: Establish a robust end-to-end source-to-pay strategy, aligning with the company's wider business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders: Work closely with senior managers across the organization to embed the source-to-pay strategy, monitor progress, and identify potential risks.
  • Lead and Develop Direct Reports: Oversee the development of one direct report, fostering a culture of excellence and expertise within the team.
  • Contract Review and Optimization: Conduct a thorough review of existing contracts, suppliers, and procurement policies to establish a more sustainable and robust procurement framework.
  • Pain Point Identification and Process Embedding: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand pain points and seamlessly integrate the newly established procurement processes across the business.
  • Strategic Sourcing and Cost Savings: Drive strategic sourcing initiatives across key categories, ensuring cost savings, cost avoidance, and security of supply.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop strong relationships with local and new suppliers, ensuring continuity of supply and identifying alternative sources.
  • Industry Trends and Market Development: Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments, driving innovation and maintaining competitiveness.
  • Procurement Strategy Alignment: Ensure that the procurement strategy is aligned with the company's overall business strategy and initiatives.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify and proactively manage any procurement-related risks, developing effective risk mitigation plans.

A successful candidate will possess a strong background in leading source-to-pay processes, with expertise gained within large enterprises. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Ariba, Coupa, and Zycus, as well as strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing ELT-level stakeholders. Experience in procurement of software/ICT categories and excellent analytical skills are also essential. Ideally, the candidate will have experience gained in consulting environments, with a tertiary qualification and/or MBA.
