We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Lead for an Inconic Australian client.

**About the role**

The Procurement Lead has a critical role as part of the procurement team in partnership with relevant business units and third-party suppliers to provide cost-effective, high quality and reliable sourcing solutions.

**Responsibilities**
- Identify the category strategy and a rolling programme of areas to be addressed within the procurement category
- Deliver the procurement category strategy, including sourcing activities that generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets through insight and analysis of category and subcategories areas.
- Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure that service, quality, added value, total cost, security of supply, and the deployment of the supplier's capabilities in innovation are secured.
- Reduce and maintain a low-cost base across the entire business through the management of strategically planned contract negotiations, supplier management, demand management activities, and supply chain initiatives.
- High level of stakeholder engagement at all levels and senior business stakeholders across the business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and develop Strategic Supplier Management Plans where required

**Skills and experience**
- Proven experience in high-value and complex strategic sourcing within a large organisation across several categories.
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management within a large organisation across several categories
- Experience achieving procurement solutions within a global marketplace, with international stakeholders and business partners
- Significant experience with market-focused analytics and strategic positioning that has resulted in sustainable competitive advantage and growth of shareholder returns/value
- Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies across multiple locations and business units to achieve compliance and optimise business outcomes
- Significant range of analytical methods and models used to evaluate and understand market conditions, consumer behaviour and preferences, competitive advantage positioning, and financial modelling
- Market categories, supply chains, and contractual law pertaining to procurement
