The Role

You will join an energetic and passionate Sales team who are responsible to focus on relationship building, successful conversion and co-ordination of successful events and groups for existing clients and keen focus to
generate future business from existing and potential acquisition clients. 

Please be aware that this is a parental leave cover role for at least 12 months 

 
Day to Day

  • Conducting qualifying communications, written and verbal
  •  Actively follow up on proposals
  • Issuing contracts for secured bookings and following up deposits
  • Maintaining comprehensive, accurate and systematic file notes in Delphi
  • To present benefit focused site inspections and follow up communications
  • Supply contract to clients, and follow up as needed to secure a signed contract and deposit
  • Negotiate contract Terms and Conditions to meet client requirements
  • To monitor business leads and maintain timely follow up with a goal to confirm existing leads.
  • Actively pursue market intelligence and potential business on an ongoing basis for revenue development.
  • To maintain Envision system, trace and then prospect both previous clients and potential clients to secure 
    bookings for future events

 
What we are looking for?                                                                                          

  • Ideally with a relevant degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management
  • Previous experience within a five-star hotel or deluxe meeting venue
  • Extensive knowledge of event service operations
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationship with internal and external customer
  • Computer skills in MS Office and outlook essential, Opera/Envision EMS/RESERVE are desired
  • Previous reservation/Front Office experience would be advantageous 
  • MUST have an unrestricted working visa for Australia.
