Rapidly growing and highly innovative meat company driving growth through developing new sales channels and increasing volume capability. With leading products in a number of categories the business is now looking to execute further growth across the Australian wholesale market. This is a leadership position and will provide an opportunity to have a major impact across the Australian meat industry for one of Australia's largest food businesses.

**Role requirements**
As the Head of Wholesale Sales you will drive sales across multiple sales channels with a focus on the broad wholesale markets. This will be achieved by having a high level of commercial ability and by building outstanding relationships within the channel. This a large and complex business, with a broad SKU range within a variety of categories. The key elements of the role will be:
- Drive profitability by understanding the meat category.
- Manage livestock and market forces to best maximise profit and maintain product availability
- Set the strategy and partner with the broader business and external stakeholders. Lead cross functional teams to drive category and brand growth.
- Build strong relationships with senior management based on trust and mutual benefit and value
- Identify new opportunities and potential threats both locally and across the the international meat space.
- Lead a team with a focus on developing your bench strength.
- Lead the wholesale and field sales groups to deliver the key business objectives.
**Background required**
Ideally tertiary qualified with a minimum of 5 years managing managing a multi channels sales team across the meat industry. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to drive profit and maximise opportunity within the various channels depending on stock availability and price. You will have a strong track history of building relationships with senior management across grocery or wholesale market.
You will have exceptional negotiation skills and proven ability in developing and executing business plans with a strong multi-channel focus. A large part of your success will come from your ability to influence and lead a large number of stakeholders, both internally and externally.***
