La Marina, a premier waterfront dining destination in Airlie Beach, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. With a stunning marina-front location and an open kitchen design, we showcase Italian cuisine in a lively and engaging atmosphere.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Head Chef to take charge of our kitchen operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a love for Italian food culture.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure smooth service
  • Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team
  • Develop and execute seasonal Italian menus using fresh, quality ingredients
  • Maintain high standards of food presentation, consistency, and quality
  • Manage ordering & stock control
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

About You

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and modern cooking techniques
  • Passion for creating memorable dining experiences
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy service environment
  • Strong organizational and financial management skills
