Commis Chef

We're looking for a passionate and skilled Commis Chef (Level 4 - Cook Grade 3) to join our kitchen team at Ra Restaurant & Bar. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

About the Role

You'll work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef to prepare and cook dishes across our menu, ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail in every plate. This position is ideal for someone who has completed their apprenticeship or holds equivalent qualifications and wants to continue developing their skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Duties

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items to standard
• Assisting with mise en place and service preparation
• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
• Supporting senior chefs in daily operations
• Contributing ideas and creativity to menu development

What We're Looking For

• Completed an apprenticeship or who has passed the appropriate trade test ( Preferred )
• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and service flow
• Reliable, organised, and able to work well under pressure
• A genuine passion for food and willingness to learn
