Ferno Australia is a leader in the design, manufacture and supply of Emergency, Rescue and Safety equipment. We are currently seeking a self-motivated person with an excellent work ethic to join our Brendale, Brisbane-based team.

Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to this role.  The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, be hands-on, and have an excellent work ethic.

The Role

You will look after day-to-day purchasing, keep our stock levels right, and make sure our suppliers deliver what we need on time. You will also run regular reports so we can track stock, costs, and supplier performance.

What You'll Do

  • Raise purchase orders and follow up with suppliers.
  • Keep product and supplier details up to date in SAP ECC.
  • Check stock levels, lead times, and re-order when needed.
  • Run and share reports to show stock levels, supplier performance, and spend.
  • Help the team plan ahead so we have the right stock at the right time.
  • Work with other teams (sales, production, warehouse) to solve problems quickly.
  • Look for ways to save money and reduce waste.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a purchasing officer or in a similar role.
  • SAP ECC experience is strongly preferred.
  • Able to run and understand reports (Excel, SAP reports, or similar).
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy with data.
  • Organised and able to work with deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
