Long-established, globally-leading organisation seeking an experienced National HR Manager
**Your new company**
Your new organisation is a world-leader in their field of manufacturing, recognised globally and public listed in overseas markets. Established well over a century ago, this organisation continues to adapt and find huge success in the modern world. A restructure of key business units has resulted in a rare opportunity for a National HR Manager to join their Australian team in their south-east office in Melbourne.
**Your new role**
Your role as the National HR Manager will see you develop and drive people strategies for the organisation at a national level, while working closely with the global HR team to introduce global initiatives locally. Reporting into the HR Director overseas, as well as having a dotted line to the Managing Director of the Aus business, your role will sit as part of the Australian leadership team and will also have management responsibilities of the HR Business Partner. You’ll be responsible for developing relationships and partnering with all key functions within the business to successfully initiate, develop and drive the HR strategy.
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to succeed in this role, you must have experience in a similar country leadership role. Experience working within a global business is advantageous but not mandatory. You’ll be able to balance strategy and development with operations, and be willing to roll up your sleeves and be hands on where needed. Experience working on M&As will be highly beneficial for this role, as will your business acumen and critical thinking. You will be proactive, resilient and autonomous in your role while able to work effectively with the global HR team where appropriate.
**What you'll get in return**
In return, you’ll have the opportunity to take on a national management position in a highly-regarded, global organisation. You will be challenged constantly, with large-scale projects at a local and global level becoming your BAU. You’ll be supported by a highly collaborative, effective and diverse global HR team, and by an outstanding People Director, but also be empowered to take initiative and drive the function at a local level; you can truly make it your own. This is an organisation that truly values and invests in the function
- Talent Acquisition, Rewards & Share Services will all support you at an operational level, and an experienced Business Partner on site will allow you to concentrate on the big picture. Remuneration will include $180k - $200k base, plus super and an attractive bonus plan.
**What you need to do now**
If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
