Monash University are seeking to engage with a HR Business Partner to join their STEM portfolio overseeing IT.
**Your new company**
Monash is a university of transformation, progress and optimism, with this position located within Monash HR a centralised team of forward thinkers in staff engagement and organisational performance, providing best-practice workforce management expertise and Human Resources services and solutions.

**Your new role**
The HR Business Partner provides high-level, specialist HR advice and a range of HR services in a strategic partnering relationship within the STEM portfolio, overseeing the IT Department. Working closely with your client group including; Heads of Department, Department Managers, and various professional services manager’s, this Business Partner will play a significant role in advising, driving and delivering change. Further, you will be tasked with:

- Managing and co-ordinating a range of strategic HR business partnering services including: undertaking investigations, devising solutions and providing practical advice, reports and briefings to clients on highly complex HR matters, supporting the implementation of people management plans, strategies and initiatives.
- Reporting to the Group Manager, under broad direction, work with a degree of autonomy and retain a focus on the Monash HR Values of Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation and Excellence.
- Contributing to a work environment of continuous review and improvement of people management practices, operational processes, policies, frameworks, systems and service provision.
- Facilitate cooperation, build partnerships and work collaboratively with Monash HR colleagues to deliver high quality, consistent services to clients
- Contribute to team expertise by undertaking external research, benchmarking and knowledge building

**What you'll need to succeed**
Bringing excellent management and HR skills supported by a proven ability to partner with clients to deliver operational excellence, services and advice in a supportive, outcomes focused environment. This will be supplemented by:

- Postgraduate qualifications in HR or other relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience in HR management.
- Knowledge of human resource management principles, relevant legislation and current HR trends to achieve business objectives.
- Understanding of Project Management principals or a proven outcome and delivery focused skillset in delivering HR and workforce initiatives.
- Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities and delivering results.
- Excellent consulting and relationship management skills in developing effective strategic relationships.
