As a result of an internal promotion, the opportunity now exists for a talented, resilient, and energetic National HR Manager to join the team, based in Melbourne.

Reporting to the Vice President HR Oceania, with an HR Business Partner and HR Coordinator reporting directly to you, this role will take carriage for all areas of HR activity nationally for the logistics services business (land-based solutions), consulting to management on human capital related matters, as the employee advocate and change agent. Acting as a trusted advisor and consultant to the senior leadership team, you will develop and implement integrated people solutions that align with business objectives and help drive commercial success.

A diverse role, you will flex between strategic and operational activities and work with a broad range of stakeholders including operations managers and GMs, presenting the agenda for cultural change to the leadership team one day and working alongside mechanics and spray painters the next.

To be considered for this high profile and impactful role you will need to be an experienced generalist HR leader and bring the following:

- Exposure to a unionised, blue collar working environment such as shipping, logistics, FMCG or other manufacturing.
- Experience in an industrial relations driven environment with proven experience resolving complex employee relations issues, and comfortable taking a seat at the negotiation table.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Exposure to organisational change including organisation design and restructuring.
- Strong relationship/stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a coaching approach and a genuine passion for developing leadership capability.
- Proven ability to work at pace in a fast-paced, high-touch, change-rich business environment; you must be able to think on your feet and be comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Technical proficiency and expertise in global & cultural awareness.
- Able to work cohesively and effectively with a variety of stakeholders and levels of people in multiple locations.

Western suburbs office location with the ability to work in a hybrid arrangement (three days in the office, two days remotely), and three to four interstate trips per year.
