Our client are an established organisation located in Melbourne CBD, seeking a dedicated individual to join their team and play a pivotal role in supporting their Company Secretary, Executive Leadership Group, and Board.
**About The Role**
We are currently seeking an Assistant Company Secretary to provide high-quality support in ensuring the smooth functioning of our client's Board and Committee meetings. As the primary liaison between various stakeholders, including Board members and the Company Secretariat, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate the preparation and logistics of Board and Committee meetings.
- Act as the primary point of contact between Board paper authors, Board members, and the Company Secretariat.
- Provide administrative support to the Company Secretary in managing departmental processes.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and rules of professional responsibility.
- Assist in maintaining records and documents related to corporate governance.
- Provide support to Directors for administrative queries and IT assistance.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Significant experience in supporting Board processes, preferably in a legal or corporate governance capacity.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Confidence in establishing relationships and setting firm deadlines with all levels of an organisation
- Experience with corporate governance software such as Diligent Board Portal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
