This rare role offers a chance to combine your natural people skills with your passion for textiles and interior design, while developing a robust business plan and sales strategy that focuses on both key accounts and new business. As an Account Manager/Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a sales strategy that maximizes existing clients and identifies new business opportunities;
- Building strong relationships with clients to ensure they are fully utilized;
- Providing timely and professional quotes, handling sampling requests and general inquiries;
- Delivering promotions to relevant accounts promptly and professionally; and
- Keeping assigned accounts up-to-date on product changes, end-of-line items, and relevant information.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as an Account Manager/Business Development/Sales professional with a minimum of 3 years;
- Exceptional communication skills with both clients and internal teams;
- Strong client focus, delivering on commitments and fostering trust with colleagues and customers;
- Experience in a similar industry or qualification in subjects such as textiles, interiors or design is an advantage;
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail;
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong PC skills;
- Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
Salary:
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $120,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
