We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Risk Manager Business Development to join our team. This role will be primarily focussed on leading the risk and compliance stream of the Embedded Finance project, which aims to develop distribution partnerships to grow the business bank offering in market.

This project involves designing and building distribution capability for Great Southern Bank's business bank offering, partnering with key internal stakeholders and strategic partners. As our highly valued Senior Manager Business Controls, you will deal directly with prospective strategic partners and Constantinople, making decisions that are within risk appetite and knowing when to escalate.

You will also support your business controls team colleagues in continuing to expand and mature the core business bank offering (Business+) with Constantinople, ensuring the division operates within the risk management framework of the Bank. This includes significant uplift in risk maturity under the bank's risk transformation program (RFG24).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the risk and compliance stream to partner with key internal stakeholders, Constantinople and strategic partners to design and build distribution capability for Great Southern Bank's business bank offering
  • Provide risk and compliance expertise and decision making in the identification and assessment of risks, obligations and controls to support business objectives
  • Undertake other key functions within the Business Controls team from time to time

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact by leading the risk and compliance stream, providing risk and compliance expertise and decision making, and supporting your business controls team colleagues.

To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of 10 years experience in financial services, with a strong understanding of operational risk and compliance in the financial services industry. Experience in banking compliance is highly desirable. You will also have post-graduate qualifications in finance or risk management, and knowledge of relevant finance industry standards, acts, codes and legislation.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
