About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at Empire Group. As a key member of our People & Culture team, you will play a critical role in supporting the People & Culture Director and contributing to the development of our organization's HR strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advisory support to allocated teams, managing key HR processes including recruitment, performance management, employee relations issues, onboarding and probation, employee departures, health and wellbeing, graduate and vacation clerk placements.
  • Support the P&C Director, Partners and other Leaders in managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct reviews of P&C policies and guidelines.
  • Provide P&C advice and support for Partners and employees, including policy guidance and interpretation, and managing employee issues.
  • Prepare business cases and position descriptions for recruitment, and manage the selection of candidates for roles in consultation with Partners/Leaders.
  • Respond to and manage health and safety issues and incidents.
  • Maintain employee files and documentation in accordance with legislative and confidentiality requirements.
  • Manage employee changes and requests through HRIS.
  • Provide payroll advisory support and manage updates to payroll processes through the HRIS and payroll platforms.
  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring legislative compliance in relation to workplace practices.
  • Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and technical skills by keeping up to date with new developments and relevant trends.
About You

To be suitable for this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years People & Culture Advisor experience within a law firm or professional services environment. You will also have HR qualifications and a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
