At Echo Entertainment Group, we're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pastry Chef to join our Culinary Team as a Junior Sous Chef in Sydney. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills under the mentorship of experienced chefs and be part of a dynamic team that creates exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a section of the kitchen and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Train and coach staff at lower levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Handle incidents promptly and report accurately to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain food cost within parameters set by the company and adhere to HACCP standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Demi Chef/Chef de Partie with relevant tertiary qualifications in Commercial Cookery.
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to commit to 40 hours per week working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
