Job Title: Junior Sous Chef
Accor is a leading hotel group seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour. This is an exceptional opportunity to advance your career in a dynamic and innovative kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef with menu preparation, ensuring adequate supplies for service.
- Maintain high presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
- Implement and maintain programs for cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and related outlets.
- Lead the team by setting a positive example and delegate duties in the absence of senior staff.
Requirements:
- Leadership experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Demonstrated experience with dietary requirements and menu creation.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP management, and compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Creative culinary mind, up to date on local and international food trends.
- Ability to work closely with suppliers to source high-quality products.
- High levels of organisation and time management skills.
