The Opportunity

C015 APT MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTY LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Manager - Construction to join our Legal and Governance team in Sydney on a permanent full-time basis.

This exciting opportunity will see you responsible for the strategic development and management of our major projects construction approach from insurance programme design advice to technical input into the insurance options for project development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive change/improvement in the construction insurance process and increase knowledge across the business to increase awareness and effectiveness
  • Design, manage, coordinate and drive the construction management of our APA strategy, design and presentation, and claims management for projects in the Power Generation areas (outside of those in BAU)
  • Supporting management of operational relationships with Head of Insurance and Insurance team, brokers and underwriters
  • Lead and co-ordinate bespoke construction placements for power generation projects and explore opportunities for facilities arrangements/improvements and any benefits which may align to BAU construction
  • Provide for and ensure appropriate insurance due diligence processes are in place relating to potential business development projects with specific focus on significant construction activity
Your background
  • 10+ years business experience, with at least 5 years' experience in an insurance role, in an ASX 100 company, or equivalent with specific construction experience
  • Strong understanding of the construction landscape and insurance requirements within, with good understanding of practical application. Experience in power generation projects and renewables is desirable
  • Strong understanding of contractual requirements, structures, liability regimes and interplay of insurance
  • Ability to develop and implement insurance frameworks and systems effectively and fit for purpose
