Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Underwriter to join our Property team in Sydney CBD. As an Assistant Underwriter, you will play a critical role in supporting the Director of Property and Underwriting Team in the seamless administration of our day-to-day underwriting operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of daily underwriting enquiries and provide excellent customer service to our broking partners.
  • Process insurance premium closings, policy endorsements, and cancellations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Quote new business and renewals, and refer complex cases to internal and external underwriters.
  • Prepare policy documentation and manage customer records/database.
  • Assist with credit control and bordereaux production as required.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and improve operational efficiencies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with broking partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex underwriting issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
