KBR Inc. is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in the Maritime Domain out of Garden Island, Sydney.

This role will involve working with an integrated team on a remediation program for the Royal Australian Navy, focusing on reliability-centered maintenance and inventory management.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a high-profile project, supporting the Commonwealth in conducting design acceptance reviews and implementing updated ILS products into CMT-U/AMPS.

You will also be responsible for triaging obsolescence items, providing recommendations for Commonwealth action, and managing materiel inventory to meet the demands of the products.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Commonwealth to conduct Design Acceptance of ILS Products
  • Provide assurance on the implementation of updated ILS products into CMT-U/AMPS
  • Support of the technical specialists to ensure that the prioritisation of systems under analysis is aligned to the system remediation plans
  • Triage obsolescence items as they arise and provide recommendations for Commonwealth action
  • Materiel inventory support to manage the demands of the products, such as, purchase to payment processes, cataloguing and codification, inventory management, inventory investigations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant recognised tertiary qualification in Business, supply chain or similar, or demonstrate relevant professional experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Procurement / Supply Chain Management, Material requirements planning, Inventory control, Costing and valuation methods management
  • Experience and understanding in the use of MILIS, LNIDS, SAP and other ERP systems
  • Knowledge and experience with NAVALLOW is essential (APLCRATES also desirable)
