Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Front Office Team Leader/ Supervisor to join our team as an Assistant Manager at our Sir Stamford Circular Quay hotel in Sydney. As a key member of our front office operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences, efficient team performance, and maintaining the highest standards of service.

About the Role

This challenging role suits a hospitality-driven professional with initiative, ambition, and strong leadership skills. You will report directly to the Front Office Manager and be responsible for supervising a dynamic team, conducting training sessions, and contributing to departmental growth.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coach the Front Office Team to deliver exceptional services with efficiency and high standards.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in conducting departmental training sessions.
  • Hold daily department briefings to ensure clear communication and expectations.
  • Participate in reducing guest dissatisfaction and prepare action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate security and emergency procedures, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Manage Workplace Health and Safety reporting, documentation, and communication of accidents within the hotel.
  • Upsell and encourage upselling among the Front Office Team.
  • Empower the team to enhance guest comfort and exceed expectations within defined parameters.
  • Strive to improve departmental operations and increase service standards for external and internal guests.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Front Office Team Leader/ Supervisor.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team.
  • Attention to detail, numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Natural ability to motivate the team.
  • Capacity to interact professionally with customers, team members, and management.
  • Proficiency in using hotel systems, especially OPERA, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • CURRENT NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or willingness to obtain one.
  • NSW Full Drivers Licence.
