Lendi Group: Lead Data Engineer


About the Role:




  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Data Engineer to join our team in Sydney to be accountable for the strategic elements of the Lendi Data Platform.


  • As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a modern data stack and modern data engineering development practices.


  • You will work closely with a cross-functional agile team to deliver high-quality data solutions and collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders.


  • You will mentor and guide a team of data engineers and analytic engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence.


  • You will lead the development and management of PowerBl semantic models, ensuring strong governance, repeatability, and scalability.


  • You will provide standards, guidelines, and collaborate in the design of logical data modelling and the implementation of physical data models into the platform.


Requirements:




  • Minimum of 8 years of data engineering experience with modern development practices.


  • Proficiency in SQL with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, AWS RDS, Databricks) and experience with ETL tools and processes.


  • Experience with programming languages such as Python.


  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.


  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
