Lendi Group is a leading Australian mortgage broker seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Sydney. This 6-month contract has the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Job Summary:

  • We are looking for a seasoned data engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize our data pipelines, build practices, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

About the Role:

This role requires strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional agile teams, data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with modern data engineering tools and technologies, including Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Terraform, Python, Fivetran, Databricks, Postgres, AWS, Buildkite, and PowerBI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data pipeline development, maintenance, and engineering support
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
  • Optimization of data pipelines, build pipelines, and BI solutions for performance and scalability
  • Implementation of data engineering best practices, design, testing, documentation, and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data engineering solutions, data models, and processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of data engineering experience with modern development practices
  • Proficiency in SQL with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks) and experience with ETL tools and processes
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of $150,000 - $180,000 per annum
