Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data pipelines, build practices, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Engineering: Develop and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Python; ensure cloud data warehouse deployment and administration.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data pipelines and BI solutions for performance and scalability; implement data engineering best practices for design, testing, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures; monitor data quality and address any issues related to data completeness and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of data engineering experience with modern development practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks) and experience with ETL tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
