We are seeking an experienced Strategic Policy and Governance Advisor to provide high-quality professional, policy, organisational and operational support to the Executive Director of Training Services NSW.
The role involves providing analysis and preparation of briefings and correspondence, as well as associated materials for a wide range of activities across the Branch. You will liaise and consult with other areas of the Department and external stakeholders to provide information and advice.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build on their existing Policy and Governance skills and experience. If you are a person who actively identifies key deliverables and drives outcomes, and have the skills listed below, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Manage complex, confidential and often highly contentious issues and provide considered, strategic advice and solutions within tight timeframes.
- Manage a high work volume across a diverse range of programs.
- Advanced problem solving and collaboration capability.
- Understanding of Vocational Education Training systems (desirable).
- Prior experience working within the Government Sector (desirable).
In return, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from $134,411 to $155,445, plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. You will also enjoy flexible working arrangements, including hybrid/work from home arrangements, a 35 hour working week, flex leave entitlements, generous holidays and leave conditions, and opportunities for advancement and mobility across the Department.
