About the Role

As a Strategic Risk Governance Lead at Macquarie, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the bank's risk management framework. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to design and implement policy governance enhancements, facilitating cross-functional consultation and driving strategic solutions.

This position offers a unique opportunity to build strong relationships with risk professionals across Macquarie's diverse businesses, leveraging your expertise in policy, framework, or risk governance. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the bank's risk management practices, ensuring alignment with core risk management principles and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive risk policies and frameworks that align with Macquarie's risk management strategy
  • Collaborate with Policy and Risk Framework Owners to draft and advise on policy documents, reports, and presentations
  • Provide expert advice on risk governance matters, including risk reporting, monitoring, and oversight
  • Serve as a key liaison between risk management teams and other business units, promoting effective communication and coordination
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and experience in policy, framework, or risk governance, with a focus on strategic risk management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in drafting policy documents and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience in influencing stakeholders at all levels, with a track record of delivering strategic solutions
  • A detailed-oriented mindset, combined with the ability to think critically and formulate innovative solutions
  • Strong understanding of core risk management practices, including risk taxonomies and 3LOD principles
