Position Overview

Objective:

The role focuses on promoting and selling Hitachi Vantara Corporation's products and solutions to designated accounts, specifically targeting sectors such as mining, transportation, and power generation within the assigned region. The primary goal is to develop, execute, and oversee account strategies that enhance growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This includes coordinating sales efforts and addressing specific customer challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 7-8 critical accounts within the Hitachi Vantara portfolio, creating a comprehensive business plan to expand the customer base and devise market strategies that meet company sales objectives. Ensure a unified sales approach that adds value for both the customer and Hitachi Vantara.
  • Contribute to the formulation of sales strategies by analyzing the customer's current operations and future plans, setting sales targets, and ensuring their achievement through structured follow-ups. Lead the development and execution of account plans, focusing on executive relationship strategies and opportunity prioritization.
  • Establish and nurture account relationships based on a defined strategy, serving as the primary contact for problem resolution. Monitor customer feedback, facilitate negotiations, and maintain in-depth knowledge of the customer's business dynamics, purchasing behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Keep track of competitor activities related to each account and develop responsive strategies. Create a business plan aimed at expanding the Hitachi Vantara customer base while ensuring the effective use of sales management tools and conducting regular status reviews.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver value-added services to accounts, ensuring effective marketing communication to both existing and potential customers. Support the identification of new market opportunities in the designated territory.
  • Promote and sell products and systems to customers across all relevant business units, ensuring effective customer relationships and understanding their needs. Manage the sales process, including administrative tasks, project management, and ensuring compliance with technical and financial offer requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and practices, including the use of personal protective equipment and participation in required health and safety training. Report any incidents or hazards and actively promote safe work behaviors.
  • Embody Hitachi Vantara's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while supporting colleagues and the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related commercial field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales or Business Development, particularly in software sales.
  • Extensive experience in sales or business development within the electrical industry.
  • Experience in the power generation and mining sectors is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with HV switchgear and/or transformers is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Hitachi Vantara products is advantageous, along with local market knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build long-lasting relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven sales professional with strong negotiation skills.
  • High level of commercial acumen and a proven track record in business development.
