Position Overview
Objective:
This role focuses on promoting and selling Hitachi Energy products and solutions to designated accounts, specifically targeting sectors such as mining, transportation, and power generation within the assigned region. The aim is to develop, execute, and oversee account strategies that drive growth, enhance profitability, and ensure customer satisfaction. This includes coordinating sales efforts and addressing specific customer challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 7-8 key accounts within the Hitachi Energy framework, crafting a comprehensive business strategy to expand the customer base and align with market objectives, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Contribute to the formulation of sales strategies by analyzing the current business landscape and long-term goals of clients, setting and pursuing sales targets and growth margins, and leading the execution of account plans.
- Build and nurture account relationships through a strategic approach, acting as the primary contact for problem resolution, and maintaining a thorough understanding of the client’s business dynamics and competitive landscape.
- Monitor competitor activities and devise appropriate response strategies, ensuring the effective use of sales management tools and preparing sales plans to track progress and address potential shortfalls.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver added value to accounts, ensuring effective marketing communications and articulating the value proposition of Hitachi Energy offerings.
- Promote and sell a comprehensive range of products and systems, fostering strong customer relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring a seamless sales experience, including post-sale support.
- Uphold safety standards and practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and actively participating in safety training and hazard identification.
- Embody Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, demonstrating accountability and care for colleagues and the organization.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering or a related commercial field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Business Development, particularly in software sales.
- Significant experience in sales and business development within the electrical industry is essential.
- Experience in the power generation and mining sectors is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HV switchgear and/or transformers is preferred.
- A solid understanding of Hitachi Energy products is advantageous, along with local market insights.
- Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build lasting relationships are crucial.
- A proactive, self-motivated individual with strong negotiation skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- High commercial acumen and a proven track record in identifying business opportunities and promoting technical service benefits.
