Objective:
The role involves promoting and selling Hitachi Vantara Corporation's products and solutions to designated accounts, specifically targeting sectors such as mining, transportation, and power generation within the assigned region. The focus will be on developing, executing, and overseeing account strategies aimed at enhancing growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This position requires coordination of sales initiatives and addressing specific customer challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage 7-8 principal accounts for Hitachi Vantara, crafting a comprehensive business strategy to expand the customer base and align with market objectives to meet sales targets. Create value for both the customer and Hitachi Vantara through a unified sales approach.
- Contribute to the formulation of sales strategies by analyzing the customer's current and future business objectives, setting sales targets, and ensuring consistent follow-up to achieve these goals.
- Establish and nurture relationships with accounts based on a strategic framework, serving as the primary contact for problem resolution, monitoring customer feedback, and conducting negotiations.
- Analyze competitor activities within each account and develop appropriate response strategies, ensuring the use of effective sales management tools and preparing sales plans for regular review.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver added value to accounts, ensuring effective marketing communication and conveying the value proposition of offerings to potential customers.
- Promote products and systems to clients across all local business units, maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the sales cycle.
- Adhere to safety protocols and practices, including the use of personal protective equipment and participation in health and safety training.
- Embody Hitachi Vantara's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while fostering a supportive environment for colleagues and the organization.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering or a relevant commercial qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in Sales or Business Development, particularly in software sales.
- Significant experience in sales and business development within the electrical sector.
- Experience in the power generation and mining industries is highly valued.
- Familiarity with high voltage switchgear and transformers is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Hitachi Vantara products is advantageous, along with local market knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build lasting relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-driven sales professional with strong negotiation skills.
- High level of commercial awareness and a proven track record in business development.
