Dispute Resolution Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispute Resolution Specialist to join our Workers Compensation team at Gallagher Bassett. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for representing the company throughout the conciliation process, determining fair outcomes for workers compensation disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Representing the company at conciliation conferences and facilitating courteous and customer-focused engagement with various parties and their representatives.
- Undertaking all tasks associated with reconsiderations of disputed decisions, including preparing for conciliation conferences by conducting pre-conciliation analyses.
- Engaging with the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC) with relation to disputed matters and representing the company in a professional, informative, and courteous manner.
- Using interpersonal skills to provide high-quality customer service to internal customers, injured workers, and legal representatives.
- Settling claims within client service instructions, WorkSafe Victoria legislation, and company guidelines, with a focus on determining mutually satisfactory resolutions.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative individual with experience working within the Workers Compensation industry and in the application of Work Cover legislation. You will have strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills, excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. A tertiary qualification in the field of Law, Business, or an industry-specific certification is preferred but not essential.
