About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dispute Resolution Specialist to join our Workers Compensation team at Gallagher Bassett. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for representing the company throughout the conciliation process, determining fair outcomes for workers compensation disputes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Undertake all tasks associated with reconsiderations of disputed decisions with relation to worker's compensation claims, including preparing for conciliation conferences by conducting pre-conciliation analyses.
  • Facilitate courteous and customer-focused engagement with various parties and their representatives to drive fair outcomes.
  • Engage with the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC) with relation to disputed matters.
  • Represent the company at conciliation conferences in a professional, informative, and courteous manner.
  • Settle claims within client service instructions, WorkSafe Victoria legislation, and company guidelines, placing an emphasis on determining a mutually satisfactory resolution.
  • Handle your own, and support your team's daily workflow in order to maintain GB's client service standards.
  • Effectively communicate conciliation outcomes and ensure that outcomes have been actioned within specified timeframes.

About You

We're looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative individual who has experience working within the Worker's Compensation industry and in the application of Work Cover legislation. Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills, excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. A tertiary qualification in the field of Law, Business, or an industry-specific certification is preferred but not essential.
