Claims Technical Lead

As a Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing expert technical guidance and support to our claims team.
Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your specialized knowledge to coach and mentor claims personnel on intricate technical claims issues.
Additionally, you will utilize your understanding of worker's compensation regulations to assess and endorse sustainable claims decisions, engage with legal entities regarding claims disputes, and deliver technical evaluations for complex claims management strategies.
Your ImpactYour key responsibilities will encompass:
- Utilizing your advanced Workers Compensation technical expertise to manage complex claims and serve as a technical resource for colleagues, including Case Managers and Senior Case Managers.
- Providing guidance and support to employer clients seeking specialized technical assistance.
- Collaborating with Legal Panel Firms, ensuring timely communication on all pre-litigated and litigated matters.
- Keeping employers, employer consultants, and other stakeholders informed about litigated cases.
- Conducting quality reviews and endorsements of adverse decisions.
- Participating in case conferencing with Case Managers and attending claims review meetings as necessary.
- Performing pre-conciliation assessments, assisting with strategic considerations, and attending conciliation conferences when required.
- Mentoring and coaching team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

- Experience in the Worker's Compensation sector and familiarity with Work Cover legislation.
- The ability to interpret and apply the Accident Compensation Act effectively.
- Exceptional customer service capabilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in client service roles.
- Coaching, mentoring, and leadership experience.
- A Bachelor of Law Degree and/or relevant industry qualifications are preferred.
