About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our Commercial Claims team at Suncorp Group. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and building strong stakeholder relationships, while utilizing your expertise to design and deliver a consistent, best-in-class technical and coaching framework for the Financial Lines Claims team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Demonstrate tangible business value through the integration of learning, communication, and capability delivery that aligns with the Commercial Claims business. This will include the design of all relevant frameworks for long-term effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Capability Development: Work with key stakeholders to identify capability needs to support the delivery of current and future business plans, including a strategic learning program that meets immediate needs of uplifting technical competency and decision making, as well as longer-term objectives of high proficiency levels of complex claims management expertise.
  • Business Intelligence: Leverage business intelligence and subject matter expert knowledge to inform deployment of the most appropriate learning resources at the most appropriate time to minimize disruption to the operation.
  • Team Development: Develop, coach, and support Commercial Claims team members to enhance performance in conjunction with the National Manager to create a high-performing and engaging team environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in claims management of professional indemnity and financial lines risks.
  • Experience in coaching and people development.
  • Experience working within a Commercial Claims operational environment – highly desirable.
  • Experience in a business or multi-channel support role – highly regarded.
