Role Summary

As a Technical Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized technical guidance to our claims team. Your expertise will be instrumental in coaching and mentoring team members on complex claims issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize your advanced knowledge of Workers Compensation to handle intricate claims and serve as a technical resource for colleagues.
  • Provide expert advice and support to employer clients requiring specialized technical assistance.
  • Collaborate with Legal Panel Firms, ensuring timely communication on all pre-litigated and litigated matters.
  • Keep stakeholders informed regarding the status of litigated claims.
  • Conduct quality reviews of adverse decisions and provide endorsements.
  • Engage in case discussions with Case Managers and participate in claims review meetings as necessary.
  • Assist in pre-conciliation checks and attend conciliation conferences when required.
  • Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess:
  • Experience in the Workers Compensation sector and familiarity with Work Cover legislation.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply the Accident Compensation Act.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a client-facing role.
  • Proven coaching and leadership abilities.
  • A Bachelor of Law Degree or relevant industry qualifications are preferred.
