Role Summary

As a Technical Claims Specialist, you will leverage your expertise to provide critical technical guidance and support to our claims team. Your role will involve mentoring and coaching staff on intricate claims issues, ensuring that our approach aligns with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizing your in-depth knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation to assess and endorse sustainable claims decisions.
  • Providing expert advice to employer clients requiring specialized technical assistance.
  • Collaborating with legal representatives on pre-litigated and litigated matters, ensuring timely communication and updates.
  • Conducting quality reviews of adverse decisions and participating in case conferences with claims managers.
  • Mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • Experience in the Workers Compensation sector and familiarity with relevant legislation.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and apply the Accident Compensation Act.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proven experience in a client-facing role.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on coaching and development.
  • A Bachelor of Law Degree or related qualifications are preferred.
