Role Summary

As a Technical Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance and support to your claims team. Your role will involve leveraging your specialized knowledge to mentor and coach claims staff on complex technical matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizing your in-depth understanding of Workers Compensation legislation to assess and endorse sustainable claims decisions.
  • Providing expert advice and support to employer clients requiring specialized technical assistance.
  • Collaborating with legal representatives on pre-litigated and litigated claims, ensuring timely communication and updates.
  • Conducting quality reviews of adverse decisions and facilitating case discussions with claims managers.
  • Participating in strategy sessions and attending conciliation conferences as necessary.
  • Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their technical capabilities.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess:
  • Experience in the Workers Compensation sector and familiarity with relevant legislation.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and apply the Accident Compensation Act.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
  • A Bachelor of Law Degree or relevant industry qualifications.
