Role Summary
As a Technical Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in offering specialized technical guidance and insights to your claims team. Your expertise will be pivotal in coaching and mentoring claims personnel on intricate technical matters related to claims management.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilizing your in-depth knowledge of Workers Compensation to handle complex claims and serve as a technical resource for team members, including Case Managers.
- Providing expert advice and support to employer clients requiring specialized technical assistance.
- Coordinating with Legal Panel Firms to ensure timely communication on all pre-litigated and litigated claims.
- Keeping stakeholders informed regarding the status of litigated claims.
- Conducting quality reviews of adverse decisions and providing endorsements.
- Participating in case discussions with Case Managers and attending claims review meetings as necessary.
- Assisting with pre-conciliation assessments and attending conciliation conferences when required.
- Mentoring and guiding team members to enhance their technical capabilities.
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Experience in the Workers Compensation sector and familiarity with Work Cover legislation.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply the Accident Compensation Act.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- A Bachelor of Law Degree or relevant industry qualifications.
