Purpose of the Role
The Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance Analyst, part of the Technology Security Team, supports daily security compliance and risk management by contributing to organisational policies, standards, and fostering a culture of risk-aware decision making, effectively mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies, and optimising governance processes within the organisation, leveraging a deep understanding of GRC principles and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to security roadmap development and strategy.
- Foster security awareness across departments and cultivate relationships to promote a culture of security.
- Uphold high performance standards, resolve conflicts, and promote company vision and objectives.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborate on enhancing security policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Assist in vendor due diligence and third-party risk management to ensure the security of our business partners.
- Ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of controls across business units to mitigate risks.
- Support internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to Security Controls Testing Framework enhancement and assurance processes to ensure the security of our systems.
- Conduct business impact analysis and assist in developing the technology risk register to identify potential risks.
- Provide guidance and support to various units to ensure the security of our operations.
- Conduct periodic compliance gap assessments and stay informed on regulatory concerns and IT security trends to ensure our organisation remains secure.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Understanding of ISMS and security frameworks.
- Strong grasp of fundamental information security concepts and technology.
- Knowledge of GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Adaptability to fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and development.
