About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Second Line Operational Risk team at Auto & General. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's future by identifying, reporting, and embedding risk advisory support across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Risk Management: Oversee the identification and management of operational risks, including pinpointing areas of potential vulnerability and devising mitigation strategies.
  • Enterprise Risk Profile Management: Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Strategic Risk to manage the enterprise risk profile, focusing on emerging conduct risks.
  • Business Continuity: Provide and embed Business Continuity activities across the Group, including frameworks and third-party contract management.
  • Risk Advisory Support: Offer specialist advice and oversight on risk activities, ensuring effective operational risk management throughout the business.
  • Risk Reporting: Prepare comprehensive risk reports for the Senior Executive Team and Board Risk Committee, including evaluations against the risk appetite related to conduct risk matters.
  • Risk Education and Awareness: Develop and deliver risk education and awareness programs to ensure their embedment across the Group.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise risk management, supported by relevant tertiary education.
  • Familiarity with APRA and ASIC expectations within the financial services sector.
  • Experience in the general insurance industry is highly valued.
  • Experience in business continuity and third-party contract management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and high-impact presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing risk reporting for different levels within the organization, including the Board.
  • Expertise in policy and framework development.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders across the Group.
