About the Role

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and on-site work. You will be working in Western Australia, specifically in Osborne Park. The Electrification Service Division at ABB partners with customers to improve the availability, reliability, predictability, and sustainability of electrical products and installations.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Graduate Market Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities, and secure profitable sales within designated areas.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Selling products/systems to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering, and align to provide a solution.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
  • Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager.
About You

You will need a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or higher, as well as sales and marketing understanding and ability to quickly learn ABB products/systems. General knowledge of customer processes and operational requirements pertaining to medium voltage and low voltage electrical products and systems in various segments including, but not limited to Mining, Industry, Utilities, Food and Beverage is also essential.

Qualifications and Skills
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or higher.
  • Sales and marketing understanding and ability to quickly learn ABB products/systems.
  • General knowledge of customer processes and operational requirements pertaining to medium voltage and low voltage electrical products and systems in various segments.
  • Excellent skills in customer relations with mature selling behavior and actively drive discussions and negotiations.
  • Awareness of contract and risk management.
  • Ability to identify customer service needs and match those with ABB service offerings understanding the value proposition for customers.
Estimated Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
