About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Claims Team Lead to join our team at Auto & General. As a Motor Claims Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing a team of Motor Claims Consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Develop, coach and motivate a team of Motor Claims Consultants to ensure they maintain skills, competencies and provide a high standard of service.
  • Portfolio Management: Prioritize and allocate team portfolios, including workload management.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews and assist with staffing requirements and recruitment.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and act as an escalation point on complex claims and complaints.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Motor Claims operating model.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain highly effective working relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Compliance: Ensure Auto & General policies and procedures are adhered to.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 1 year in a leadership role with a customer-facing organization or within a call centre, preferably with strong coaching experience.
  • Motor Claims Experience: Experience with Motor Claims is beneficial.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Able to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Problem Resolution: Good attention to detail and problem resolution skills.
  • Process Development: Experience developing processes and procedures.
  • Conflict Management: Ability to effectively manage conflict and negotiate where required.
