Payroll Specialist

As part of our strategic goal to strengthen the professional lives of our employees, we are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team.
**About the Opportunity:**
This temporary full-time role will commence ASAP and will be based at our central office. The successful candidate will report to the Payroll Lead and will be responsible for ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time, as per Enterprise Agreement, Award, Employment Contracts, and other legislative requirements.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in payroll, with a strong focus on compliance, and the ability to interpret and apply multiple Enterprise Agreements/Awards throughout our payroll processes. Additionally, they will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service skills.
**Key Responsibilities:*
- Ensure accurate and timely distribution of salaries and wages
- Resolve complex payroll queries for schools and central office
- Prepare, balance, and reconcile payroll tax, PAYG tax, FBT, superannuation, and annual group certificates
- Maintain system records for leave, casual timesheets, employee records, etc.
- Provide management reports and undertake required statutory reporting as needed
- Partner with the Senior Payroll Advisor to deliver value-added outcomes across the team
- Assist Payroll Officers and conduct training of junior Payroll staff as required
