About the Role

We are currently seeking two Caseworkers to join our Permanency Support Program team. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Key Responsibilities

As a Caseworker, you will be part of a dynamic team that operates across the child protection spectrum, including:

  • Visiting children, young people, and caregivers in their residences.
  • Collaborating holistically with caregivers, families, and service providers to help children and young people achieve their goals.
  • Engaging in supportive teamwork to share insights and knowledge for optimal outcomes.
  • Documenting the goals, journeys, and milestones of children and young people.
  • Facilitating permanency for children and young people, ensuring they have a stable home for life.
About You

To excel in the Caseworker role at CareSouth, you should be resilient, dedicated, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals.

We are looking for a strong team player with a good sense of humor who is willing to go the extra mile for the young people you support. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A commitment to the safety of children, young people, and individuals with disabilities.
  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a Diploma in Social Sciences/Social Welfare or equivalent, or currently pursuing such qualifications.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and their families.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • A proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective community networks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, cultural considerations, and the NSW Child Protection system.
  • A current driver's license.

Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain the necessary Working with Children Check clearance is required.
