With 30 years of service to the local community, we are seeking a collaborative leader who can think strategically to help us enhance and expand our operations to meet the growing needs of our services.
About the RoleDue to internal transitions and program expansion, CareSouth is looking for two Caseworkers to join the Wagga Permanency Support Program team.
We offer both Full-Time and Part-Time options (4 days) to accommodate various schedules.

As a Caseworker, you will be part of a dynamic team that operates across the child protection spectrum, focusing on family preservation, permanency support, restoration, and adoption.
A Day in the Life of a CaseworkerYour responsibilities will include:
- Visiting children, young people, and caregivers in their homes.
- Collaborating holistically with caregivers, families, and service providers to help children and young people achieve their goals.
- Engaging in supportive teamwork to share knowledge and insights for optimal outcomes.
- Documenting the goals, journeys, and milestones of children and young people.
- Facilitating permanency for children and young people, ensuring they have a stable home for life.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- A commitment to the safety of children, young people, and individuals with disabilities.
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a Diploma in Social Sciences/Social Welfare or equivalent, or currently pursuing such qualifications.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and their families.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Proven capacity to establish and maintain effective community networks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, cultural issues, and the NSW Child Protection system.
- A current driver's license.
Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain the necessary Working with Children Check clearance number is required.
