About the Role

In response to internal transitions and program expansion, CareSouth is looking for two dedicated Caseworkers to become part of the Wagga Permanency Support Program team.

We offer both Full-Time and Part-Time positions (4 days) to accommodate diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits to engage with children, young people, and their caregivers
  • Collaborate holistically with families, caregivers, and service providers to assist children and young people in achieving their aspirations
  • Work closely with a diverse team to share insights and knowledge for optimal outcomes for children and young people
  • Document the goals, journeys, and milestones of children and young people
  • Facilitate permanency for children and young people, ensuring they have a stable home environment

About You

To excel in the Caseworker role at CareSouth, you should be resilient, committed, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following qualifications:

  • A commitment to the safety of children, young people, and individuals with disabilities
  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a Diploma in Social Sciences/Social Welfare or equivalent, or currently pursuing such qualifications
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and their families
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a high-performing team
  • Proven experience in establishing and maintaining effective community networks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues, and the NSW Child Protection system
  • A valid driver's license
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain the necessary Working with Children Check clearance
