Full-time Opportunity

Location: Wagga Wagga - Permanency Program

We are looking for a committed individual to join our Permanency Case Management Team, focusing on delivering case management services to youth in Out of Home Care (OOHC). In this role, you will be a vital member of the Permanency Program, reporting directly to the Team Leader. The Case Management Specialist will align with the organization’s strategic goals, values, and desired outcomes.

Your role will involve advocating for Marymead Child & Family Centre's services and providing high-quality support to children, young people, and their families. This is a full-time position, working collaboratively with a team that engages directly with carers, children, young people, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting therapeutic case management and related tasks within a designated area.
  • Ensuring that all necessary documentation and administrative tasks meet reporting standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, and their support networks to help them achieve their objectives using various evidence-based intervention methods.
  • Supporting the Carer Development Teams to facilitate smooth transitions to placements.

Marymead Child & Family Centre is the social services branch of the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work, or a related field (or be in the process of obtaining one) or relevant experience.
  • Proven case management experience with at-risk children, young people, and their support networks.
  • Experience in establishing positive working relationships with children, young people, and their support networks.
  • A comprehensive understanding of out-of-home care and the developmental needs of children and young people.
  • Strong written communication skills (including report writing) and highly developed verbal communication abilities.
  • The flexibility to work outside of standard business hours and travel as required.

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold:

  • A Full Unrestricted Driver's License (P1/P2 may be negotiated).
  • A Working with Children Check (NSW).
  • A Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT); or
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the NSW Office of Children's Guardian (OCG) Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR) at the time of reference check.
  • Completion of a National Police Check and Driver's License History Check.
