With three decades of service to the local community, we are seeking a collaborative leader who can envision the broader picture to help us enhance and expand our services to meet the growing needs of our communities.
About the RoleIn response to internal transitions and program expansion, CareSouth is in search of two Caseworkers to join the Wagga Permanency Support Program team. We offer both full-time and part-time positions (4 days a week).

A Day in the Life of a CaseworkerAs a Caseworker, you will be part of a dynamic team that operates across the child protection spectrum, engaging in:
- Visiting children, young people, and caregivers in their residences.
- Collaborating holistically with caregivers, families, and service providers to assist children and young people in achieving their objectives.
- Working closely with a diverse team to share insights and knowledge for optimal outcomes.
- Documenting the goals, journeys, and milestones of children and young people.
- Facilitating permanency for children to ensure they have a stable home for life.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- A commitment to the safety of children, young people, and individuals with disabilities.
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a Diploma in Social Sciences/Social Welfare or equivalent, or actively pursuing such qualifications.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and their families.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Proven capability to establish and maintain effective community networks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, and cultural issues, along with knowledge of the NSW Child Protection system.
- A current driver's license.
Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain the necessary Working with Children Check clearance number is required.
