Fulltime Position

Wagga Wagga - Permanency Program

We are currently seeking a team member for the Permanency Case Management Team to provide Case Management to young people in Out of Home Care (OOHC). In this role, you will work as an integral member of the Permanency Program and report directly to the Permanency Team Leader. The Permanency Case Manager is required to work within the organisation’s strategic objectives, values, and outcomes.

You would be responsible for promoting Marymead CatholicCare's services and delivering high quality services to children, young people, and families. This is a full-time position based in Wagga Wagga, working as part of a team which involves direct contact with carers, children, young people, and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking therapeutic case management & tasks within a defined work area
  • Ensuring relevant paperwork and administrative work is up to standard for reporting
  • Working in partnership with children, young people and their support network to achieve their goals, using a variety of evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • Provide support to the Carer Development Teams to facilitate transitions to placements.

Ideal Person

The ideal person we are looking for has:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Community Services, Social Work or related discipline (or working towards) or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated case management experience with at risk children, young people and their support network.
  • Experience building positive working relationships children, young people and their support network.
  • Comprehensive understanding of out of home care and developmental needs of children and young people.
  • High level of written skills (including report writing) and highly developed verbal communication skills.
  • The ability and wiliness to work flexibility, to travel and work outside of core business hours and on weekends (as required).

To be considered for this role you will be required to hold:

  • Full Unrestricted Driver's License (P1/P2 may be negotiated).
  • A Working with Children Check (NSW)
  • A Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT); or
  • Eligibility to be added to the NSW Office of Children's Guardian (OCG) Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR) at time of reference check.
  • You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check and Drivers License History Check
