We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer Support Specialist. As a Peer Support Specialist with Flourish Australia, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their mental health recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect with and support individuals who access our services, building strong relationships based on trust and shared experience.
  • Guide and support each person in their recovery, focusing on their strengths, abilities, and possibilities.
  • Model hope and recovery, inspiring individuals to take control of their mental health.
  • Provide individualized support that meets the unique needs and goals of each person, using a strengths-based approach.
  • Encourage shared learning experiences and support skill development through self-directed learning, information, and education.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV or above in a relevant field, or a minimum of 2 years of full-time experience working in the human services field.
  • A strong commitment to recovery-based practice and a personal lived experience of a mental health issue and recovery.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with a lived experience of a mental health issue.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and knowledge of data information management systems.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence.
