Rail Operations Hub - Telarah, NSW

We're seeking a seasoned Health and Safety Advisor to join our Rail Operations hub in Telarah, NSW, located in the Hunter Valley region. As part of our internal business unit, you'll be working closely with technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, verify, collate, and present statistics to identify performance trends for the project and team members
  • Maintain and monitor key performance metrics for the project, providing regular updates according to business requirements
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and revising HSE & Rail Safety Plans, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Deliver health and safety training for staff and the workforce
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations and reporting
  • Provide coaching on Health Safety Environmental Management System (HSEMS) and contractual requirements
  • Carry out HSE inspections/audits and develop/pre-deliver Prestart & toolbox talks
  • Monitor and conduct regular HSE and Rail Safety governance checks within project sites, including reporting breaches and recommending remedial actions
About You
  • Certificate IV OHS or working towards Graduate Certificate, Diploma OHS, or Certificate in Risk management
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting supervision and management with HSE issues/action closeout within the workplace
  • Effective in managing site-based hazards and risks, with the ability to plan and carry out safety inspections
  • Previous experience working in high-risk construction industries
  • Able to coordinate basic health and safety training and assist in identifying significant factors affecting project design, helping with risk assessments
  • Understands basic environmental risk management
  • Rail experience is preferred
